The sweet taste of July, with its warm days and the smell of summer, brings with it a breath of artistic air to the magical French Riviera. Here are some of the most significant events of this wonderful month:

Les Rencontres d'Arles, July 1-September 29, 2024: Annual photography festival is held in Arles, France. Founded in 1970 by Lucien Clergue, Michel Tournier and Jean-Maurice Rouquette, it offers exhibitions, nightly screenings, workshops and discussions. Artists and photographers present their visions and stories, exploring humanity in all its facets.

ArtMonte-Carlo, July 6-7: Art event taking place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, under the patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco. The art fair will host 35 leading international galleries of modern and contemporary art in an elegant atmosphere and meticulous setting. A platform for artists, galleries and collectors to exhibit and purchase contemporary artworks.

Artcurial, July 6 - 10: Returning to the Riviera for Monaco Auction Week, setting up the iconic Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, The event will present an exclusive selection of important watches, jewelry, Hermès and luxury handbags and the fifth edition of Monaco Sculptures. In addition, this year the Automobilia department will auction off the collection of memorabilia from the legendary Stars'N'Bars.

Last Stage of the Tour de France, July 21: The last stage of the Tour de France 2024 will not take place in Paris, due to preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which begin July 26. The Tour will end in Nice with an individual time trial. The last time a time trial was the final stage of the Tour was in 1989. It will be an exciting time for cycling fans!
